We love Early Years. We have nothing but the highest respect for our staff teams and for what they do every single day. It’s an incredibly rewarding role that helps to shape our children’s formative years.
We want to be Outstanding. That’s our goal and to be outstanding every single day not just Ofsted day. We invest in our teams, our resources, environments, and our training. We have an exceptional support team that help us to achieve our vision.
We are incredibly fortunate. We’re proud to work with a team of highly-qualified, wonderfully talented and passionate Early Years professionals. Their dedication to the children in our care is invaluable, and we support our teams with regular training and professional development opportunities.
We want the best. We are committed to nurturing the careers of every team member, investing in their development with accredited training. All staff are also given access to online training platforms, which is packed with essential courses from first aid to safeguarding. Regular external courses are factored into all budget plans, as well as supporting employees who would like to study for further education. We also bring in specialists to deliver industry-leading learning programmes in-house.
We recognise talent and support Practitioners to reach their potential. We support progression in each employee, empowering them to flourish in their roles and take professional steps forward too. Opportunities to pursue promotions are encouraged and have a proven track record of fulfilling aspirations and appointing staff to their first leadership roles.
We love winning awards! It makes everyone feel proud to be part of something special particularly when it’s voted by our parents and peers within the Early Years community. We only started in 2019, and already we have been voted by daynurseries as one of the Top 20 large nursery groups in the UK for three years running.
We understand. We recognise that staff wellbeing is hugely important to job satisfaction and reaching their full potential, so we place great emphasis on health and happiness at work.
We support. We have developed our own MiPeople platform for every single member of our team, that also has its own wellbeing module. It can be accessed through both a website and an app, with the following features:
We’re always looking for new ways to promote positive wellbeing in employees. These range from delivering little treats to brighten our team’s day, to providing safe spaces to talk and feel supported.
We appreciate and celebrate. Our staff recognition programmes are in place to celebrate a job well done and help our teams to feel truly fulfilled and appreciated. MiPeople also acts as a staff recognition platform so that we can always make sure nobody’s efforts go unnoticed. From long service awards to outstanding practice, congratulations to a simple ‘Thank You’ we aim to celebrate all staff wins, in both individual settings and at a companywide level. It goes a long way.
We listen and we act. We undertake regular staff surveys to understand what the key issues are and how our teams are feeling. Response rates are very high because we know that listening is a vital part to our success.
And the pay?
Of course it’s important. Our commitment is that we will always pay above minimum wage and our rates are competitive particularly for qualified roles. But we also know that there is more to valuing our People than just paying well. We can offer extensive opportunities, training and development, career progression and as part of a young award-winning Group that truly puts our People first we value all our teams that are part of our exciting journey!
